A vegan herself, she has taken up the challenge of creating recipes which are made with compassion for all living beings, concern for the environment and planet and of course, people’s well being in mind.

However, she doesn’t feel that the pathway to health has to be a struggle. Her motto is to embrace life, love yourself and love your food but not exclusively.

Through this workshop she demonstrates some easy to make recipes which will be dairy free, egg free, entirely plant based, low in fat and yet delicious and she will also create a healthy dessert that is creamy and rich!

Joining her will be celebrity Tanusree Chakraborty, who will be sharing basic health tips necessary for a better lifestyle along with nutritionist Abhilasha Bagaria and Fitness Manager Prosenjit Biswas.

Chef Nivi Das’s background

I am a qualified accountant and always worked in corporate field but the Plant Based diet and its implications in terms of health benefits fascinated me so much that I changed my career a couple of years ago.

In 2015, I qualified as Chef on a special scholarship. I was offered the Scholarship by the Director of the Culinary College based on prior extensive knowledge of Food which was self-paced research into Science of Food, Nutrition, Balanced Diet and studies of Vegan food benefits. This was a big change in my career which I embraced happily because I feel I am able to reach out to more people and perhaps help a few too.

I have been conducting Workshops in Vegan Nutrition and food alternatives for last 2 years.  I also get asked to do presentations at a number of Fundraising Events. The next few upcoming events will be

My natural curiosity for Science and how things work, led me to the path of becoming a Vegan Food Consultant and Technologist. I have turned may home into a Kitchen Laboratory where I experiment with only Plant Based and try to recreate the dishes that a person must give up to become Vegan.  Cheese, Desserts are always top of the list with most people.

My motivation for “inventing” the vegan gourmet dishes is that I want more people to appreciate that becoming Vegan does not mean that you give up your favourite foods.  I also want to ensure that people making the transition from a meat based diet or even vegetarian diet to a Plant Based  diet do not fall into the very common trap of subsisting on a very nutritionally poor diet.  At every workshop, I explain the benefits of the Vegan diet but also take care to explain the common vitamin and mineral deficiency one may suffer from if not paying attention to the nutrition.

Banjara’s Skin Positive Beauty Cream and Body Lotion Review, Price and Usage

The heat and the pollution together give us tanned skin, pimples, rashes and other skin problems. No matter, how much we cover our face with a “dupatta” or wear sunglasses, we somehow end up getting tanned! • The product comes in a tube like packaging with a pointed nozzle for the ease of use. The packaging is very convenient to carry around. Whenever I look at the tube, it somehow reminds me of the Fevicol tube :p
• The cream is baby pink in color and has a wonderful fragrance

• The cream is really very lightweight and blends to the skin easily. This cream is non-greasy and hence it is apt to use in summer
• It definitely hydrates skin and keeps it soft and supple and boots cell regeneration. I haven’t experienced any side effects yet.
• It comes with SPF15 and PA+++ protection, so you can use it even when you are going out

2. Banjara’s Skin Postive Body Lotion

Price: INR 80 for 100ml

Key Ingredients: Sunflower oil, Kokum Butter, Shea Butter, Honey, Pomegranate fruit extract, Castor oil,  Yashad Bhasma

• The product comes in a cylindrical container with a flip cap for the ease of use
• The lotion is light pink in color and has a thick consistency
• The fragrance is similar to that of cocoa butter mixed with pomegranate
• The lotion blends well to the skin, however the lotion is very greasy and it is not appropriate to be used during daytime. It is better to use it at night before going to bed in small quantity
• It makes skin soft and nourished on regular usage . I was suffering from skin dryness before to using this lotion. My skin has become  much smoother after continuous use of this body lotion for five days, so it definitely works great on dry skin.

Final Verdict: I think The Banjara’s Skin Positive range works great for dry skin. Both the beauty cream and the body lotion helps to nourish dehydrated skin and protects the skin in harsh weather. However, I think the Banjara’s Skin Positive Beauty cream is overpriced  for the amount of product present in it. If you suffer from dehydrated and dull skin then you must definitely give a try to this new range of products from Banjara’s.

Hello peeps! Here’s a new month and I am back with a new post. It has been really long since I have posted about my online shopping experience. Few days back, I was getting bored at work so thought of checking out some online stores. I came across Limeroad, which most of you know is a very popular site for online shopping.
