FabIndia Haldi Chandan Mud Pack Review

Hello girls, I hope you are doing well. More than 75% of the people I met in last few days are suffering from viral fever. So, take care of yourself and stay healthy as the festive season is around. Today I’ll be reviewing a face pack from FabIndia.

FabIndia is a well-known brand which has a wide range of natural and organic products starting from spices, skincare items, apparels and accessories. I purchased few FabIndia products few months back to see how they work on my skin. Let me tell you that my skin is sensitive and using a wrong product could be very problematic for my skin. I am using this face pack for over 4 months now. Read on to know whether FabIndiaHaldiChandan mud pack is worth trying or not….

Price: INR 250 for 100ml

Best Use Before: 36 months from the date of manufacture

Ingredients: Contains paraben

What the Product Claims: This pack containing turmeric extracts and sandalwood fragrance uses multani mitti as a base and helps clear the skin. Frequent usage over a period of time enhances complexion.

Method of Use: Apply directly in face and neck with upward stroke. Keep till dry and then wash. Close the lid tightly after use.

My Take on the Product: The product comes in a sturdy plastic jar with a screw cap. There is another round lid provided with the jar to keep the container hygienic and avoid any spills and leaks.

The packing is travel friendly but it gets messy sometimes during application, this is why I prefer products in tube packaging. Coming to the product, the face pack is of the same color as fuller’s earth (Multani mitti). The consistency is like that of fuller earth, thick and even. The face pack has sandalwood fragrance which is quite okay and does not bothers much during application.

I use this face pack twice a week after washing my face with FabIndia Tea Tree face wash. The face pack claims to enhance complexion but I haven’t noticed any drastic change in my complexion yet, though it has made my skin smooth with regular use. I have combination skin and my face gets very dry after using this face pack so I need to use a light moisturizer.

I’ll recommend dry skinned beauties to avoid using this pack as this will make your face more dry. Overall this is a decent product in this price range, I wish they change their packaging to tube ones for convenience.

Pros:  1. Contains Multani mitti

2. Decent amount of product in one pack

Cons:  1.Makes my face dry after use

2.Packaging needs improvement

My rating: 3.5/5

Will I Repurchase It again?: I think I’ll try something else that wont dry up my face!

5 Easy Homemade Facial Cleansers For All Skin Types

Arrghhhh……….. This gloomy weather :(. I want some sunshine now. This is why I hate monsoon! I’m sick and I haven’t been anywhere other than my college for over a week now. I need to buy my face wash and I’m not allowed to go out because I’m sick. So what? Should I wait to get well and then buy? Ummm… not sure, order online? Just for a face wash…..not really…. This is when the beauty blogger in me tries being smart and manages to carry on the skin care routine when there is a shortage of  skin care products. Facial cleansers are very important to maintain a clear and dirt free skin and should be used regularly.

In this post I have listed few easy homemade facial cleansers that could be prepared easily at home with products available in your kitchen. These cleansers are equally effective and safe to use. Have a look at them below:

 1. Gram Flour and Turmeric Cleanser

Mix 2 tablespoons of gram flour with 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder. Add rose-water to it to make a smooth paste without lumps. Apply this mixture to your face and neck and massage gently for 5 minutes. Wash off with water. You will get a clean and oil free skin within no time. Turmeric brightens complexion and gram flour is itself a very good natural cleanser.

2. Milk Cleanser

Take a small bowl of raw milk and simply dip cotton balls in it and apply it on your face. It removes dirt and makeup effectively from your skin without making your skin dry. Milk also helps in keeping skin soft and moisturized.

FabIndia Tea Tree Skin Toner Review

Hello girls, I never experimented much with skin toners, as my skin is slightly sensitive. I have always used rose-water and camphor mixture or cucumber juice for skin toning. Since I have blemishes on my skin, I always wanted to get hold of a toner containing tea tree and is free of alcohol. Tea tree is known to work well on blemishes and breakouts. Once while visiting a mall here, I came across FabIndia store and while browsing I found this cute bottle.

I picked it up and bought it just because it read “tea tree toner.” Read on to know about my experience with this toner:

Unfortunately, my exams are heading near and I have to go to my college regularly for important classes.
