As a kid, I have often seen my mother applying foot care cream and wondered whether it is really something worth investing for. I have seen my mother suffering from cracked heels, no matter how much she tried to avoid it by through her natural remedies. At last, only a good foot care cream would come to her rescue. I would always ask her why don’t she get pedicure done regularly. Now that I’m almost in my mid twenties, I can understand how cracked heels can be painful and ugly, visiting a salon for pedi-mani hardly happens once in 3-4 months  for me.

Our feet are one of the most neglected part of our body. This is the second time, when I’m suffering from cracked heels. I didn’t go for any home remedies apart from wearing socks most of the time.  My take on the product:The Himalaya Wellness Foot Care Cream comes in a handy packaging. The cream comes in white tube with a dark green lid, it is easy to carry around in bag and application never gets messy. The cream has a mild fragrance which doesn’t bother my rather sensitive nose. The cream is lightweight and hence the application gets super easy.

The cream blends in my feet easily and it doesn’t feel sticky at all. I apply the Himalaya Wellness Foot Care Cream at night before going to bed. I wash my feet with warm water and  pat dry followed by applying this cream on my feet. When I started using it, my feet was in extremely bad condition but after regular application for a week, I could feel that the cracks have almost healed and my feet felt softer than before. I’m really happy with the result and I’ll stick to this cream every time I’ll get cracked feet.

• The cream is baby pink in color and has a wonderful fragrance

• The cream is really very lightweight and blends to the skin easily. This cream is non-greasy and hence it is apt to use in summer
• It definitely hydrates skin and keeps it soft and supple and boots cell regeneration. I haven’t experienced any side effects yet.
• It comes with SPF15 and PA+++ protection, so you can use it even when you are going out

2. Banjara’s Skin Postive Body Lotion

Price: INR 80 for 100ml

Key Ingredients: Sunflower oil, Kokum Butter, Shea Butter, Honey, Pomegranate fruit extract, Castor oil,  Yashad Bhasma

• The product comes in a cylindrical container with a flip cap for the ease of use
• The lotion is light pink in color and has a thick consistency
• The fragrance is similar to that of cocoa butter mixed with pomegranate
• The lotion blends well to the skin, however the lotion is very greasy and it is not appropriate to be used during daytime. It is better to use it at night before going to bed in small quantity
• It makes skin soft and nourished on regular usage . I was suffering from skin dryness before to using this lotion. My skin has become  much smoother after continuous use of this body lotion for five days, so it definitely works great on dry skin.

Final Verdict: I think The Banjara’s Skin Positive range works great for dry skin. Both the beauty cream and the body lotion helps to nourish dehydrated skin and protects the skin in harsh weather. However, I think the Banjara’s Skin Positive Beauty cream is overpriced  for the amount of product present in it. If you suffer from dehydrated and dull skin then you must definitely give a try to this new range of products from Banjara’s.

PROTECT YOUR SKIN & HAIR THIS HOLI Part 2 Ft. Biotique Botanicals

Pre – Holi skin care:

Post – Holi care :

Had a crazy Holi celebration? Well before you hit the bed to take a nap you must clean up the color from your face, body and hair. The more delay there is in cleaning the color, the tougher it will be to get rid of it.

1.  Cleanse well: Firstly, dust off the all the dry color from your face and body. Remove all them makeup that you might have applied with a makeup remover like Bio Almond Oil. Then cleanse your face very gently with a mild cleanser. We recommend you to use Bio Honey Gel with lukewarm water to wash off the color.  If there’s still any color left, you can scrub off the rest using Bio Walnut purifying & polishing scrub. Avoid scrubbing excessively as it will damage your skin and may cause irritation.
2. Wash your Hair: Next, wash your hair using a damage control shampoo like Bio Soya Protein followed by conditioning hair with Bio Watercress nourishing conditioner. Repeat the process for another couple of days until the color goes off completely.
3. Cleanse your body with a revitalizing body wash like Bio Apricot body wash which has a 100% soap free formulation that would help removing any pollutants without dehydrating your body.
4.  Moisturize – Apply a thick body butter like Bio Coco Butter for the next few days to nourish your skin well. Once the color is completely off your body, you can start using your usual body lotion.
5. Nurture your Nails – Take out the nail paint using a nail paint remover and follow it up by giving a gentle massage to your hands. The color might take a couple of days to completely go off your skin, so keep patience and follow the post-Holi tips regularly until all the color is gone, without excessively cleansing/scrubbing your body.

My experience with the product: The product comes in a white tube with a dark green cap. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. The face wash has creamy texture and is white in color. It has a typical ayurvedic smell which I did not find very pleasant, however, it won’t irritate your nose. The face wash lathers well and cleanses very well. After washing my face with the Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless face wash, I felt very fresh and the best part is, it doesn’t dries out my skin. I have used the face wash regularly for two weeks now and I haven’t seen any side effects yet.

2. Biotique Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan removal scrub

My experience with the product: I was actually planning for a long time to try out the Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Flawless skin lotion and I finally got a chance to use it. Like the face wash, I am using the skin lotion for over a month now and it suits my skin really well especially in this season when is skin is in between a dry and oily condition. The product comes in a white cylindrical bottle with a dark green cap. The lotion has a semi thick consistency and is white in color. It blends well to the skin and feels a little greasy on my skin. By the time April and May will be here, I guess i have to skip using it especially since I sweat a lot and my face gets oily naturally. This face lotion is best suited for dry skinned beauties. I’ll be using it few more days and then I am planning to use it for winter. It moisturizes skin well and there is no side effects.

 Final Verdict: I am overall satisfied with the three-step Biotique Flawless skin regimen and would recommend you all to try it out if you love ayurvedic products, especially the face scrub!

Skin 18 L’Affair Collagen 3 Step Skin Renewal Mask Review

Hello girls, how are you doing? It’s already spring and I see so many discounts on clothing and accessories in different stores. My life has been the same, nothing new to share. I had my exams last week which kept me a little busy in preparing. I can’t wait to April to get over when I’ll be completing my post graduation. Since my skin feels very dry and dull these days due to the change of weather, I decided to start with the L’Affair Collagen 3 Step Skin renewal mask. As the website says, this complete  skin care kit helps to replenish and revitalize the skin and remove skin dryness. As you can see the package, it has three ingredients: a facial foaming cleanser, a high functional ampoule and the mask and you can easily figure out in what sequence you need to use them because they have already indicated that.

My take on the product: I could click a step by step picture  for the whole process but I am going to  describe how each product looked like and the consistency along with the immediate and after affects.

• So the first step involved using the facial foaming cleanser. I had to squeeze out the product and apply it on my clean face, the cleanser was white in color and had a thick  and creamy texture. On applying it on wet face, it lathered well into a rich foam. The cleanser had a pleasant smell which was very similar to Clean and clear foaming face wash. After washing it off, my skin felt instantly clean and fresh. It removes all the dirt and oil and hydrates the skin. My skin didn’t feel dry at all

• The next step was to apply the high functional ampoule. The ampoule was a clear liquid but not very runny. It had the right consistency like a light weight serum. The fragrance was very refreshing and it got absorbed on my skin very easily. The ampoule provides instant hydration and moisturizes the skin well

• The last step is to apply the mask.The mask helps to improve skin elasticity and boosts cell renewal. I kept the mask for around 20 minutes. The result was soft, supple and nourished skin. Though the mask claims to shrink pores but I think it will take some time.You need to use the kit at least once a week for a month to see effective results.

Kenisha Green Forest Soap and Medicated Turmeric Soap Review

Hello darlings, it has been long since I have posted here. Since winter is approaching, I’m already in the hunt for some good body butter and moisturizers for my skin. These days it feels so dull and lifeless. I personally hate winter since childhood. I remember how pathetic it was to suffer from dry chapped lips during early winter and how I had to apply a thick layer of Boroline on my lips to get away with the dryness. It has been same every year and I know this year won’t be an exception :(.

Few weeks back, Kenisha sent me their handcrafted soaps to try. I have already tried and reviewed two of their soaps earlier and I was really happy how they worked for my. I loved using both the soaps, but my favorite would be the medicated turmeric soap since it has helped to get rid of sunburns in my arm very quickly. I only feel that if the soaps came in some interesting shapes and colors and  some natural fragrance could be added to these soap then they would have looked more pleasing.

Garnier White Complete Fairness Face Wash and Cream Prices and Review

Hello all, hope you had spent a lovely time Durga Puja! Sorry for being MIA. It is getting really hard to manage my studies, office and blog together but I am trying my best to blog often. Today is one such day when I could find out some time to blog and today i will be review two products from Garnier: Garnier White Complete Fairness Face Wash and Garnier White Complete Multiaction Fairness Cream. I was sent the product two weeks back and since them I have been using these two regularly. I’ll keep this post really short and simple. Read on to know if these products from Garnier are worth trying or not:

1. Garnier White Complete Fairness Face Wash

Features:

• INR 145 for 100g
• Enriched with the goodness of lemon essence for naturally fairer looking skin
• Mild face wash for daily use
• Exfoliates skin well and removes blackheads and whiteheads
• Dermatologically tested

My take:

• Good for regular use
• Removes oil and dirt without making the skin dry
• Smells wonderful and gives instant freshness
• A small amount of the product is enough as it lathers well on skin
• Haven’t noticed any fairness as such but it has lighten few dark spots on my face

2. Garnier White Complete Multiaction Fairness Cream

Features:

• INR 160 for 50ml
• Has SPF PA+++ that protect skin from harmful UV rays
• Settles in skin giving a semi matte finish
• Enriched with lemon essence

My take:

• Cream is not very thick and blends on skin easily
• Reduces dark spots
• With regular use skin looks brighter i.e. dark spots lightens ( not fairer)
• Good for removing mild tan
• Smells pleasant
• Causes no side effects/breakouts.

Final thoughts: The Garnier White complete Fairness face wash and cream is good for regular use, reduces dullness and spots and makes skin look fresh and brighter. The presence of lemon essence in the products helps to control oiliness. I haven’t experienced any skin whitening using the products so you’ll be disappointed if you are expecting the same from these products.
