Garnier Fructis Oil in Cream Review

Hello ladies, sorry for being MIA for a long time. I have shifted and settled in my new apartment and I’ll try my best to be regular from now on. So, two weeks back, Garnier sent me their new product called Garnier Fructis Oil-in-Cream which is an oil replacement cream and is enriched with the goodness oil coconut, almond and olive oil. Read on to know my take on the product:

Price: INR 100 for 200g

Shelf life: 36 months

About the product: Hair oils maybe sticky and greasy. Now, Garnier brings to you the formula with  power of 3 oils in a non sticky, light cream format. The cream texture melts away without leaving sticky residue and does not weigh your hair down. Hair looks bouncy and full of life.

Directions to use: Massage into hair and scalp. Oil in Cream intensely nourishes your hair and transforms it.

My take on the product: The product comes in a yellow tube with a flip cap. There is enough product in one tube to last for a month and maybe more than that if you have shorter hair. The packaging is convenient to carry around.

There is no scope for the product to leak or spill. Coming to the cream, it is white in color and has a smooth and thick texture that spread on the scalp and hair easily without creating a mess. The cream is lightweight and non sticky. The product has a fruity smell.

I apply this cream few minutes before my shower, apply it evenly from my hair roots to tips, massage well for 2-3 minutes, leave it on for another one minute and finally shampoo my hair with Garnier Triple Nutrition shampoo+conditioner.

With regular usage my hair has become frizz free, feels nourished and manageable. Also, I haven’t noticed any hairfall after using this cream so it scores a perfect 5 for that.  Overall, I am very impressed with this innovative product from Garnier.

Pros: 1. Nice packaging

2. Pleasant fragrance

3. Lightweight and non sticky

4. Nourishes hair well

5. Controls friziness

6. Inexpensive

Rating: 5/5

Recommendation: Highly recommended, especially to all those who suffer from oily scalp problems like me and tend to avoid using hair oils.

Garnier Pure Active Neem+ Tulsi High Foaming Face Wash Review

Hello all, hope you are doing well. Garnier Skin Naturals has launched a new face wash under its Pure Active Range called the Garnier Pure Active Neem+Tulsi High Foaming Face Wash.  What I feel that this is the revamped version of Garnier Pure Active Neem face wash. However, what makes the product unique and interesting is that the product has the goodness of 2 natural ingredients: Neem and Tulsi which fights Oil and Removes  99.9% Pimple Germs. It has a gentle formula for daily use and comes in an unique bottle format with Flip Top cap. Since I face occasional zits and pimples in summer, I was very curious to see how this product worked on them. Read on my review to find out whether this face face from Garnier is worth the hype:

Price:  MRP  Rs.105  for  100g  and MRP Rs.60  for  50g

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.

Packaging: The product comes in a transparent bottle with a green flip top cap, The packaging is convenient, travel friendly and prevents wastage of product.

My take on the product: The face wash is green in color and smells like neem, okay not completely neem but better than that. I liked the fragrance.

1-DSC02803

The texture of the face wash is runny and lathers well on wet skin. You can guess from the name of the product itself that the face wash creates lot of foam. A very little amount of product is enough to apply on the face and hence a single bottle will run for a long time. After applying the face wash, My skin felt refreshed, clean and smooth.

1-DSC02805

It removes oiliness and dirt effectively without overdrying my skin. As far as pimples are concerned, it needs time and regular usage of the product to get rid of them. After using this face wash for a week, my zits have started disappearing though very slowly.

1-DSC02806

The Garnier Pure Active Neem+Tulsi High Foaming Face Wash is a reasonable and effective face wash to use in summer and will suit all skin types.

1-DSC02810

Pros: 1. Reasonable

2. Contains the goodness of Neem + Tulsi

3. Lathers well

4. One bottle goes a long way

Twice as Nice with Garnier

Hello girls, this post will a fun and of course a very useful post for you all. In this post, I have collaborated with my blogger friend, Sayantinee Bhattacharyya of Cherry on Top blog and we bring you a post which is twice as nice just like the Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash and Garnier Skin Naturals Apricot Pure Active Exfoliating Skin Scrub. She writes mostly about makeup and I focus more on skincare and together, we will give you suggestion on how to take care of your skin in summer followed by a lovely makeup tutorial from my dear friend.

As the temperature rises high in summer, our skin has to face the harsh sunlight everyday. Adding to that our skin feels oily, sweaty and thus attracts a lot of dirt in summer, not to forget the suntan and blemishes that joins in! Here are some handy tips to keep your skin healthy and radiant during summer:

1

  • Keep yourself hydrated. Drink 8-10 glasses of water each day and carry water bottle while you go out.
  • Use sunscreen before going out in the morning. Apply the sunscreen atleast 30 minutes before you leave the house.
  • Use natural toner at home like cucumber juice, store it in fridge and use it whenever your skin feels dull or tired.
  • Cleanse your face twice a day with a good face wash that will remove dirt and oil effectively.
  • To get rid of tan, mix gram flour with yogurt and apply the paste all over the tanned area. Wash it off after 20 minutes.
  • Use shower gels and bath salts to get a glowing skin
  • Have a good sleep to reduce stress.

Once you get a glowing skin in summer, it’s time for some good makeup. Sayantinee will show you how to get simple and fresh and makeup tutorial for summer in five easy steps. Have a look at her tutorial below:

  • Prepare your base with any BB cream/ tinted moisturizer and concealer you like. Don’t forget to apply a matte and sweat-proof compact on top of that.
  • To add a natural flush to your cheeks apply some pink/coral blush to the apples of your cheeks.
  • Tightline your eyes with a black kohl. If you have very oily lower waterline like I do then skip tightlining your lower waterline.
  • Curl your lashes and apply a good amount of mascara.
  • Apply your favourite summery pink lipstick

My #HappyHairChallenge with Garnier Triple Nutrition Range- Part 2

Hello peeps, here’s wishing all the lovely women in this world a happy women’s day! Live your life with elegance and confidence.

images

So, today I’ll be sharing with you all my experience with the Garnier Triple Nutrition range which had a shampoo and a conditioner.

???????????????????????????????

I started using them a month back and I think this is the right time to share my experience about this shampoo-conditioner duo. Before, I move further, let me tell you that I had dry, lifeless hair. I also faced problems with split ends and weak roots. Adding to that, my scalp is oily so my hair tends to get limp in a day or two of shampooing my hair.

When the brand sent me this shampoo and conditioner from their Triple Nutrition range, I was very excited to try them out and was hoping that they solved my hair problems.

Texture: The Garnier triple nutrition shampoo has a runny texture and is white in color while the conditioner has a creamy texture and is white in color. The shampoo lathers really well and can can be rinsed off easily. The conditioner spreads on wet hair easily and washes off completely without leaving any residue.

???????????????????????????????

Left- shampoo, right- conditioner

Fragrance: The fragrance of the Garnier triple nutrition range is almost same as the other range of Garnier shampoos and conditioners. Both of them have a pleasant fruity smell. On washing, my hair smelt nice and the fragrance stayed up to two days!

…and now the is a detailed observation chart about my experience:

Capture

The Not So-Good Part: As you can see in the chart above, the Garnier shampoo and conditioner duo has worked moderately in solving my hair fall problem. It has also not worked well in mending my split ends or boosting hair volume.

???????????????????????????????

The Good Part:  it has made my hair shinier and frizz free. My hair is much more manageable and smooth than before. It has also worked on my dry hair problem, my hair feels soft and nourished. Overall I am happy with the results the duo has shown but I wish they worked equally effectively on my hair fall problem which is a major problem with many women these days.

???????????????????????????????

Rating: 4/5

Final Verdict: I’ll recommend the Garnier Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner to all those who are suffering from dry-frizzy hair.

Posing Perfect With Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash

Puberty and pimples are co-related because most of us have faced pimple problems during our early teenage. During this age, our body undergoes various physical and emotional changes as a result of hormonal growth. Pimples are tiny zits that appear commonly in cheek  and forehead area. There are two parts in our skin pores- outer and inner. The inner part produces sebum from sebaceous gland. This sebum when comes in contact with dead skin cells of the outer part, they stick together and block the pore, as a result the area gets infected and causes pimples.

I had very oily skin since my teenage and  naturally, pimples always bothered me. These pimples were painful and often settled into dark spots. It gave me endless mental trauma and stress. I did silly things to hide those ugly pimple marks and avoid embarrassment like:

  • In summer, I used to cover my face with a cotton dupatta while I went out and in winter I wouldn’t let go my woolen scarf off my face.
  • I couldn’t concentrate on my classes and exam time was my biggest nightmare as my pimple problem would increase due to stress.
  • I could take part in college activities mainly due to the fear of people noticing my pimples
  • I couldn’t experiment much with different hair-dos and haircuts, I had to get thick front bangs for my hair so that it came down till my cheeks and covered my pimples.
  • I took hours to do my makeup if I had to go out anywhere. I tried different concealers that gave heavy coverage and spent  hours in front of the mirror trying to hide my pimple marks.
  • I avoided getting my pictures clicked and if I ever got my picture clicked, I had to edit it for hours to hide my pimple marks.
  • I took out time from my busy schedule (studies+blogging) and tried endless remedies to get rid of them. I applied sandalwood paste, went to the doctor, took medications, checked my diet but nothing cured my pimples effectively.

When I almost  lost hope, my cousin told me about Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash. I have always heard about the effectiveness of neem against fighting pimples but never really tried it on my skin. So, when I saw that this face wash has neem as the key ingredient, I went ahead and got a 100 ml tube for myself at Rs.90 only. I fell in love with the product after using it for a week because:

  • Neem is a natural disinfectant and purifies blood imparting a natural glow to the face.
  • Comes easy on pocket, good for students like me
  • Comes in a small tube of 50g and packaging is travel friendly too so I can carry it wherever I go, all I need is to find out a washbasin!
  • Only a small amount is enough to clean the entire face and it cleanses really well
  • Soap free and hence it is not harsh on skin and retain skin’s moisture
  • Works on pimples and also fades pimple marks effectively
  • It also removes light makeup easily

I am very happy that I trusted Garnier Pure Active Neem face wash and used it regularly to get rid of my pimples. It has provided me many benefits like:

  • It has given me the confidence to go out and interact with people without any fear of people noticing my pimples.
  • I can finally experiment with different hairstyles and hairdos
