Lotus Herbals Claywhite- Black Clay Skin Whitening Face Pack Review

Hello all, how are you all doing? I’m back after the ‘Durga puja break’ though we have another important festival Lakshmi puja coming up in few days. I hope you all have enjoyed  the puja as much as I did. Soon we will be celebrating Diwali in few days. So you see, we have an array of festival lined up for the season. Today I’ll be reviewing a face pack from one of my favourite brand Lotus Herbals. It is a skin whitening pack consisting of black clay.

???????????????????????????????

Read on to know if this face pack is worth buying:

Price: INR 275 for 120g

Ingredients: Contains Methyl Paraben and Proplyl Paraben

What the Product Claims: Black Clay: Very rich in minerals and silica, helps to brighten facial complexion.

Bearberry Extract: Rich in Arbutin, helps to lighten complexion.

Liquorice Extract: Lighten facial complexion.

Method of Use: Wash your face with mild soap and blot dry. Apply a generous amount of Claywhite on face and neck, leaving eyes. Relax till completely dry. Rinse with fresh water. Follow with ‘Lotus Herbals Fairgel’.

My Take on the Product: The product comes in a cream-colored tube with a sturdy flip cap. The packaging is very user-friendly like every other products from the house of Lotus Herbals.

???????????????????????????????

The face pack has texture like that of clay since it is a black clay face pack. The face pack is easy to apply and spreads evenly though the consistency is on the thicker side. I like the color of the face pack, it is bluish grey in color and looks very different from other face packs I use, which are usually white, pink or yellowish :p.

???????????????????????????????

I don’t like the smell of this face pack and it smells somewhat like ‘Lacto Calamine’. I am using this face pack for over three months now but I haven’t seen any whitening effect on my skin yet. This face pack has a mixed effect on my skin, sometimes it works fine in a row of 2-3 uses and sometimes it gives me breakouts within a few hours of using it.

???????????????????????????????

I also feel a mild tingling sensation with the face pack on. Overall I feel this product is over priced and do not completely justifies what it claims to….

Pros: 1. Travel friendly packaging

2. Love the color of the  face pack.

Cons: 1. Overpriced

2. Does not whiten skin as it claims to

3. Causes occasional breakouts

4. I do not like the fragrance

My Rating: 3/5

Will I Repurchase It?: No, I will try some other face pack next time, suggestions are always welcome :)…..

Hello lovely ladies, how are you all doing? This summer heat has made me too lazy. I really need a break from my monotonous routine. Anyways, last night I was cleaning my makeup kitty when I found this….

???????????????????????????????

This was my first ever lip gloss, my bestie gifted this to me on my birthday last year. There was a time when I used this gloss regularly over my lipsticks. Somehow this little thing lost my attention after sometime, and see, I found it last night. There is still few month left to its expiry so I can finish it up by then. Read on to know about Lotus herbals lip gloss in “Cranberry Punch”:

???????????????????????????????

Price:INR 225 for 5ml.

Ingredients: Presence of grapes & Jojoba extracts.

Directions To Use: Using the doe-foot applicator to swipe the gloss over your lips to get a nice color or top it over a lipstick for added shine.

My take On The Product: The gloss comes in a transparent cylindrical tube with champagne-gold cap. The packaging is sleek, lightweight and easy to carry around. The cap has an in-built doe foot applicator, the applicator is dense and helps in precise application.

???????????????????????????????

Coming to the shade, Cranberry punch is a lovely berry pink color with fine silver shimmer and will flatter Indian skin tones especially dusky beauties. The shade is wonderful and two swipes can give you the desired color.

???????????????????????????????

Left- One swipe Right- Two swipes

The intensity can gradually be built it, I used to top it over my lipstick for an added shine and oomph. It has a mild fragrance which I personally don’t like but since the fragrance vanishes after sometime, it isn’t a big deal.

???????????????????????????????

The formula is non sticky and staying power is 2 hours which is fair at this price range. There are lots of different shades available from this range keeping the Indian skin tone in mind. So, go ahead and grab some lovely shades!

I’ll start with one of my favourite makeup product….lip glosses! Yes, today I’ll be reviewing the Lotus Herbals seduction botanical tinted lip gloss in the shade number 43 (Winter Berry Crush).

Price: INR 225 for 5ml.

Ingredients: Presence of grapes & Jojoba extracts.

My take on the product: It comes in a transparent, light weight packaging with a champagne gold lid. Its sleek & easy to carry around.

It has a mild fragrance which I don’t like. Two swipes of the gloss is enough to show up on my bare lips but if you want you can add more swipes as the color can be built up. The color of this gloss is lovely warm coralish pink color with minute golden shimmer & will suit a lot of Indian skin tones.
image

It stays on my lips for 2 hours without meals after which it starts fading away. You need constant touch ups when you are wearing it. Its non sticky & doesn’t feels heavy on my lips. I love the doe foot applicator provided with it for smooth application.
