New Lakme Satin Enrich Lipstick P166 Review, Price, Swatches and LOTD

So, recently Lakme revamped the packaging and formula of their Satin Enrich range and gave it an all new look. Lakme has introduced 10 shades in the range and most of them are pinks. I had three lipsticks from the earlier collection and I loved the formula and pigmentation. Needless to say, these lipsticks were available at Rs. 240 only and were one of the best lipstick in budget. When I get to know that they have introduced new shades with new packaging and formula I was excited to try them so I went ahead and bought a shade from the revamped Lakme Satin Enrich range.Let us see if the revamped version has lived up to my expectation.

Shade: P166

Price: INR 260 for 4.3g

What The Product Claims:Lakmé Enrich Satin Lip Color keeps your lips satin soft, vibrant and lasts long.

My Take on the Product: The new packaging looks way better than the old maroon packaging that looked very dull and boring. The lipstick has a steel-grey bullet with a transparent cap.

The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. The range mostly has very pale and light shades that are apt for fairer skin tones only. The shade P166 is one of the darkest shade from the range. It is almost a neon pink shade.

I have a wheatish skin tone but the color washes me out. Girls with pigmented lips should stay away from this shade. The lipstick is very creamy in texture and moisturizing. The color goes opaque in 2-3 swipes but since the formula of the lipstick is very creamy, it feathers when applied on lips.

The lipstick stayed on my lips for hardly two hours without meals. The color transfers easily and might bleed if you do not use a lip liner. I feel the earlier formula of these lipsticks were much better and the color payoff was really rich.

I hope Lakme introduces darker shades apt for Indian skin tones.Overall, I am not happy with the new version of Lakme Satin enrich and I’ll skip rest of the shades.

Pros: 1. Moisturizing

2. Pleasant smell

Cons: 1. Feathers a lot

2. Washes me out

3. All the shades are suitable for fairer skin tones only

4. Poor staying power

5. Bleeds without a lip liner underneath

6. Transfers easily

Rating: 3/5

Recommendation: Skip this range, unless you are too excited to try one. The older version of Lakme Satin enrich range was much better in texture, choice of shades and pigmentation.

Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick in Coffee Command Review, Swatches and LOTD

Hello lovelies, how are you all doing? Today I’ll be reviewing  my current favorite lipstick which I’m wearing almost daily to college. Its Lakme 9 to 5 lipstick in “Coffee Command”. Well, I know I’m the last one to review this lipstick but I couldn’t stop myself from sharing with you all how much I love the shade. Without wasting much time, let’s get into the details.

Price: INR 400 for 4.2g

Shelf Life: 2 years from the date of manufacture

What the Product Claims: Combines amazing comfort with staying power that keeps you looking fresh for hours. With a long wearing comfort technology. Offers a creamy color with colorfix technology. Ensures 10 hours of intense creme color.

My Take on the Product: The product comes in a rose-gold metallic packaging which looks very classy. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. Coming to the shade, it is a lovely peachy-nude shade. It could be a perfect MLBB shade for fair to medium skin tones.

This lipstick is from the Lakme 9 to 5 office stylist range, so all the shade has been created keeping office goers in mind and for daily use. The lipstick stays on my lips for almost4-5 hours. Since the finish is on the matte side, it might be difficult to pull off without a lip balm underneath especially for girls with dry lips.

It is recommended to exfoliate your lips before applying this lipstick since it may accentuate chapped lips. The lipstick is lightweight and does not feel heavy on my lips.

Since I have slightly pigmented lips, I need to apply 2-3 swipes for the color to show up. It gives full coverage in 2 swipes only and the color could be built up gradually. The texture is creamy and smooth but still I use a lip balm underneath. The lipstick has a sweet fragrance and I really liked it.

Left- 1 swipe, Right- 2 swipes

Left- 1 swipe, Right- 2 swipes

Overall, this lipstick is great for everyday wear and could be tried by office and college goers who like to wear neutral colors.

The product comes in a beige tube with a silver cap. The packaging is travel friendly but I wish the product was a bit more in quantity. As I use Lakme CC Cream almost daily, the product ends up in a month :(. The cream has slightly thick consistency but blends effortlessly on my skin. The Lakme CC Cream is available in two shades- Beige & Bronze. I picked up bronze because it is apt for warmer skin tones & looks natural on me without making my face cakey. It has an added benefit of SPF 20.

I have a combination skin & this cream keeps my face oil free for almost 3-4 hours. It has a pleasant floral fragrance which I really liked. Though I have not seen any change in my natural skin complexion using it yet I’ll be purchasing this again & again.

This CC cream is not heavy, it can be used daily in all seasons for a near to natural & brighter complexion.

Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick in Shade No. 421 Review, Swatches & LOTD

Hello sweeties….. Lakme is one such brand to whom we, our moms & even some of our grand moms are familiar with. I remember, my mom told me once that her wedding makeup kit comprised of mostly Lakme products. I have grown up seeing stacks of Lakme lipstick & nail polishes on my mom’s dressing table. Lakme have been a well known trusted brand from India. Most of us love Lakme. Today I’ll review a nice shade from their Enrich Satin range. The shade number is 421. Read on to know more.

Price: INR 225

What the product claims: Cast a spell in satin. Rich color takes life in a luxuriously creamy stick that brings satin to your lips. Enriched with sunscreens, vitamins and the goodness of olives, your lips will have a story to share. Indulge in a pod of beautiful shades ranging from floral pinks to shimmering peaches.

My take on the product: The Lakme Satin Enrich Lipstick ranges from Pinks & Mauves, Nudes to Reds & Maroons. The shade I own is from Reds & Maroons. The lipstick comes in the classic Lakme packaging of brownish maroon plastic case with same colored lid. The shade number is indicated at the bottom of the case.

There is no way to distinguish these lipsticks if you own more than one from this range plus these lipsticks are not named, just numbered, making things more difficult. Yet, I bet most of us have more than one of these lipsticks. The shade 421 is a dark maroon shade & is a great shade to complement a festive look.

This shade will suit most of the Indian skin tones especially dusky beauties.

The lipstick has satin finish & glides on my lips like butter. Staying power is almost 3 hours after which it starts fading away but it leaves behind a nice tint on my lips.

The lipstick has typical Lakme fragrance so nothing much to say about it. Try this lipstick if you love to wear bold colored lipstick.

Pros: 1) Nice bold color
2) Easily available
3) Resonably priced
4) Smooth satin finish

Cons: Nothing about the lipstick but I wish they change the packaging for our convinience. 🙂

Rating: 4/5

Will I repurchase it again?: Yes, I keep buying different shades of Lakme Satin Enrich.

Have you tried these lipsticks yet?? Then share your reviews below in the comment section.
