VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal Review, Price & Swatches

Hello girls, I hope you are doing well. Lately, due to work pressure in my office, I could hardly find time to blog and secondly, my  makeup these days is limited to kajal, lip balm and BB cream only. The only good thing that is happening is that I’m trying out different kajals for my eyes. I’m not very particular about brands these days when it comes to kajal, but I’m always in search of a decent kajal that gives me a smudge-free look without touch ups to survive during my office hours for days when I don’t get time to leave my workstation for a quick break.

Currently, I have been using the VLCC Enchanting Eyes kajal and I’m loving it so much that I decided to write a post about it.  I have used VLCC products before and I always had a bittersweet experience with them. As far as the kajal is concerned, this is the best  product I’ve used so far from VLCC. Read on to know why…

Product description:VLCC’s Enchanting Eyes Kajal will create a dark, intense line for dramatic eyes. It is smudge-proof and waterproof, which makes it last long. The kajal is dermatologically-tested and enriched with botanical extracts and comes in an easy-to-use retractable stick format.

My take on the product: The kajal comes in a retractable black pen like packaging with a golden rim in the middle. The packaging  ensures minimum product wastage and makes it easy to carry around. The price is decent and affordable too. Coming to the consistency, the kajal is soft and thus it can glide on very smoothly, it is easy to apply both on the waterline and on the eyelids. The shade is very dark and a single swipe is enough to give you beautiful looking kohl-rimmed eyes. The kajal can stay up to 5-6 hours after which it needs a minor touch up, however, this works much better than kajals from other drugstore brands.

Ir didn’t smudge or started to fade away when I accidentally washed my face once, which is why I’m loving it so much. I didn’t feel any irritation or watering after applying it daily, for a week which is why I believe that it is safe to use for all.The kajal can be removed with a makeup remover easily.

Maybelline Spiced Up Baby Lips Lip Balm Tropical Punch and Spicy Cinnamon Review, Price, Swatches and LOTD

Hello girls, what is that one thing you cannot leave your house without? For me, it’s definitely my lip balm. Tinted lip balms are absolute savior when it comes to staying out for the whole day and hardly getting any chance for touch ups for i can just swipe my lip balm without even looking at the mirror :p. I am a huge fan of Maybelline Baby Lips lip balms, I have tried almost all the varieties available till date. Recently they have launched their “Spiced Up” range, keeping in mind the complexion of Indian girls and I am so happy for this. I have pigmented lips and the newly launched darker shades are great for my lips!

My take on the products: When Maybelline told me that they are sending over the lips balms for me to try, I was jumping with joy. Finally when I received them, I found out they have sent me not one but two of them to try out, Tropical Punch and Spicy Cinnamon.

The packaging is same as that of previous version but these came in darker colors resembling the shades of the balms. I reached out for Spicy Cinnamon first, because I have never used a cinnamon flavored lip balm before. I loved the flavor, it felt exactly like cinnamon. The shade is dark, almost brownish like that of cinnamon. The shade will suit Indian skin tones very well.

The shade Tropical Punch is a pretty pink shade Both the shades did hide my pigmentation and gave a subtle hint of colors to my lips. Tropical Punch has a fruity flavor which is common in many lip balms. The lip balm stays for almost 4 hours without meals and keeps my lips moisturized and soft.

Spicy Cinnamon

It also has SPF 20 for sun protection. Overall I am very happy that Maybelline came out with darker shades of baby lips and finally, we girls, who have pigmented lips can also wear tinted lip balms that really shows up o  our lips!! Enjoy the pics and please ignore the dusty keyboard…

Maybelline Rebel Bouquet Collection REB02 and REB05 Lipsticks Review, Price, Swatches and LOTD

Hello girls, I am back with a lipstick post after a long time. Today I will be reviewing two lovely lipstick shades from the recently launched Maybelline Rebel Bouquet collection, one is a lovely universally flattering coral pink shade and another one is a lovely bright orange, which is neither too light and neither too bold, just the perfect shade of orange I was looking for!

Price: INR 450 for 3.9g

My take on the products: The lipsticks have same packaging as their Color Sensational range with steel colored bullet and the plastic cap similar to the color of the lipstick shade.

The packaging is sturdy and can be carried around with ease. The lipstick glides on lips easily and gives a sheer coverage on single swipe, however the color is buildable with multiple swipes. The lipstick gives a glossy finish when applied but settles into a matte finish after sometime.

The color stays on for 4-5 hours on me minus meals. The lipstick do not feathers or dries out my lips. The shade REB02 is a warm coral pink shade that will flatter Indian skin tones well.

It is a lovely pink shade and brightens up my complexion. The shade REB05 is an orange shade which I am in totally love with! I am wearing the shade almost daily. The color is bright yet not loud, gives a pop of color to my lips and surely is an eye catcher.

Overall, I am very impressed with Maybelline Rebel Bouquet lipsticks for their amazing shades and reasonable price range!

Cons: I wish they did a different packaging for this range. The shades are otherwise difficult to recognize without check out the numbers.

Hello girls, this post will a fun and of course a very useful post for you all. • Use shower gels and bath salts to get a glowing skin
• Have a good sleep to reduce stress.

• Curl your lashes and apply a good amount of mascara.

New Lakme Satin Enrich Lipstick P166 Review, Price, Swatches and LOTD

So, recently Lakme revamped the packaging and formula of their Satin Enrich range and gave it an all new look. Lakme has introduced 10 shades in the range and most of them are pinks. I had three lipsticks from the earlier collection and I loved the formula and pigmentation. Needless to say, these lipsticks were available at Rs. 240 only and were one of the best lipstick in budget. When I get to know that they have introduced new shades with new packaging and formula I was excited to try them so I went ahead and bought a shade from the revamped Lakme Satin Enrich range.Let us see if the revamped version has lived up to my expectation.

Shade: P166

Price: INR 260 for 4.3g

What The Product Claims:Lakmé Enrich Satin Lip Color keeps your lips satin soft, vibrant and lasts long.

• Higher Color delivery
• Vitamin E
• Olive Extracts

My Take on the Product: The new packaging looks way better than the old maroon packaging that looked very dull and boring. The lipstick has a steel-grey bullet with a transparent cap.

The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. The range mostly has very pale and light shades that are apt for fairer skin tones only. The shade P166 is one of the darkest shade from the range. It is almost a neon pink shade.

I have a wheatish skin tone but the color washes me out. Girls with pigmented lips should stay away from this shade. The lipstick is very creamy in texture and moisturizing.The color goes opaque in 2-3 swipes but since the formula of the lipstick is very creamy, it feathers when applied on lips.

The lipstick stayed on my lips for hardly two hours without meals. The color transfers easily and might bleed if you do not use a lip liner. I feel the earlier formula of these lipsticks were much better and the color payoff was really rich.

I hope Lakme introduces darker shades apt for Indian skin tones.Overall, I am not happy with the new version of Lakme Satin enrich and I’ll skip rest of the shades.

Recommendation: Skip this range, unless you are too excited to try one. The older version of Lakme Satin enrich range was much better in texture, choice of shades and pigmentation.

Four Oriflame The One Matte Lipsticks Review, Price, Swatches and LOTDs

Hello ladies, who doesn’t love lipsticks? I am obsessed with lipsticks and I love splurging on them. In this post I will review four of the newly launched matte lipstick shades from Oriflame “The One” range. Oriflame is one of my personal favourite brand when it comes to makeup and skin care and I am dedicated few of their products for my daily skin care regime. I have got some lovely shades to review and all off them will look good on Indian skin tone and especially on dusky beauties. Let us have a look at them below:

What the product claims: A hydrating Lipstick that gives intense beautiful matte lips to start the day. It is made with a blend of avocado, jojoba and Vitamin E to hydrate condition & protect the lips. Comes in 10 wonderful shades.

My take on the products: The product comes in a dull purple packaging. I personally do not like the packaging as it looks very dull. however, the lipsticks are sturdy. The lipsticks smells pleasant and despite of being matte lipstick they glide on my lips really well.

The finish is semi matte hence women with dry lips won’t have to worry. The staying power of these lipsticks is almost 4-5 hours with meals in between. most of the shades are dark in this range and hence are very much pigmented. So girls, who have pigmented lips will get ample options to choose from this range. I have got four shades and each of them are very dark and will look great on Indian skin tones.

It is recommended to use a lip liner underneath so that the lipstick do not feather. The lipstick fades leaving behind a reddish stain that lasts long. Let us look into the shades in details:

Berrylicious: This is my favourite of the lot. A bright berry pink shade, great to complement an ethnic look. This shade is very flattering and looks great on young girls.

Red Seduction: A bright red shade that will flatter fair to dusky skin tones equally. The shade will brighten up your face and looks great in pictures too!

Marry Maroon: As the name suggests, it is a dark red shade with red undertones. This shade will look good on dusky beauties. This shade is all good for mature women and will look great on our moms!

Cherry Brown A true chocolate-brown shade, great to wear for office and looks really bold and outstanding

Hello everyone, Valentine’s day is incomplete without a hint of red in it. In this post I will be reviewing one of the most raved shade from the newly launched L’Oreal Paris Star Collection lipstick range. The name of the shade is “Pure Rouge” and this is the shade for Frieda Pinto. This new range of L’Oreal Star Collection lipsticks has some lovely shades of reds, it has also got an orange and a vibrant fuchsia shade in the range! Here’s all the details about the lipstick below:

Price: INR 995 for 4.2g

About the Product: The Color Riche Pure Reds Collection is created with a revolutionary and innovative formula that delivers bold, luscious color that lasts for a full 6 hours, making it the ultimate beauty indulgence. Pure pigments deliver intense color and Jojoba oil gives perfect hydration up to 4 hours. The range includes 7 exquisite matte shades

My Take on the Product: The lipstick comes in classy black packaging with a red button at the center-front of the bullet and Frieda Pinto’s signature above it, on the cap. The color of the button is similar to the shade of the lipstick.

The shade is sported by Freida Pinto and she being a dusky beauty herself, looks very pretty in the shade.The shade “Pure Rouge” is a vibrant neutral red color and will suit all skin tones ranging from fair to dusky skin tones effortlessly.

The color is insanely pigmented and one swipe will give you the desired color. It will easily cover up lip pigmentation and settle into a smooth matte red finish. Since I have thin lips, I apply a red lip liner underneath and then apply the lipstick. The lipstick is not much drying on lips yet it is recommended to exfoliate your lips well to make it look smooth and even.

The lipstick glides on lips easily without tugging despite of being a matte lipstick. The staying power is almost 6 hours without meals. It fades a bit unevenly leaving behind a prominent red stain. You may need to touch up after heavy meals to keep the shade intact. Overall I love this shade and this is one the brightest lipstick shade in my vanity now.
