Four Oriflame The One Matte Lipsticks Review, Price, Swatches and LOTDs

Hello ladies, who doesn’t love lipsticks? I am obsessed with lipsticks and I love splurging on them. In this post I will review four of the newly launched matte lipstick shades from Oriflame “The One” range. Oriflame is one of my personal favourite brand when it comes to makeup and skin care and I am dedicated few of their products for my daily skin care regime. I have got some lovely shades to review and all off them will look good on Indian skin tone and especially on dusky beauties. Let us have a look at them below:

What the product claims: A hydrating Lipstick that gives intense beautiful matte lips to start the day. It is made with a blend of avocado, jojoba and Vitamin E to hydrate condition & protect the lips. Comes in 10 wonderful shades.

My take on the products: The product comes in a dull purple packaging. I personally do not like the packaging as it looks very dull. however, the lipsticks are sturdy. The lipsticks smells pleasant and despite of being matte lipstick they glide on my lips really well.

The finish is semi matte hence women with dry lips won’t have to worry. The staying power of these lipsticks is almost 4-5 hours with meals in between. most of the shades are dark in this range and hence are very much pigmented. So girls, who have pigmented lips will get ample options to choose from this range. I have got four shades and each of them are very dark and will look great on Indian skin tones.

It is recommended to use a lip liner underneath so that the lipstick do not feather. The lipstick fades leaving behind a reddish stain that lasts long. Let us look into the shades in details:

Berrylicious: This is my favourite of the lot. A bright berry pink shade, great to complement an ethnic look. This shade is very flattering and looks great on young girls.

Red Seduction: A bright red shade that will flatter fair to dusky skin tones equally. The shade will brighten up your face and looks great in pictures too!

Marry Maroon: As the name suggests, it is a dark red shade with red undertones. This shade will look good on dusky beauties. This shade is all good for mature women and will look great on our moms!

Cherry Brown A true chocolate-brown shade, great to wear for office and looks really bold and outstanding

Oriflame Lip Impact Crayon in Intense Cherry Review, Swatches and LOTD

Hello girls, here is a lipstick review after a looooong gap. Today I’ll be reviewing the lip impact crayon from Oriflame. This is my first lip crayon and since it was in offer price of Rs. 199 few months back, I got one for myself in the shade ” Intense Cherry”and after using it for a while now, here is my view on the product. Read on to know whether you should buy this or skip!

Price:Rs. 329 for 3.9g, I got it at Rs. 199 (offer price)

Shelf Life: 3 years from the date of manufacture

Method Of Use:  Starting from the middle of the lips, apply through the arch of the lips till the corners, both above and below.

What The Product Claims: Here is a lip crayon that will offer long-lasting color to your lips without drying and chapping lips. The smooth texture glides on to lips giving truly intense color in only one stroke. Super comfortable, silky feel and moisturising formula to help prevent lips from drying. High coverage, medium shine. Long wear without color bleed. One smooth swipe and lips are saturated with intense color and plush moisturizing lip goodness.

My Take On The Product: The product comes in a cherry red pencil packaging with a cap, the shade of the lip crayon is exactly like the color of the packaging.

The packaging is sturdy enough. The shade “Intense Cherry” is a very bright cherry red color and is perfect for wedding season and brightens up your face instantly.

This shade will look good on all Indian skin tones. The texture of the lip crayon is super creamy and is highly pigmented. It glides on my lips like butter and you do not need to use any lip balm underneath.

Top- 2 swipes Bottom- 1 swipe

The crayon gives a glossy finish that stays up to 3-4 hours and fades leaving behind a nice tint. It keeps my lips moisturized and makes it look fuller. Coming to the negative part, the lip crayon is non retractable, hence a lot of product gets wasted while trying to sharpen it.

In Daylight

Since it is super creamy, it tends to bleed often, it also form streaks if over applied (see the lip swatch with flash, I have used two swipes of the lip crayon and the application is almost streaky).Lastly,it transfers to anything and everything your lips come in contact with so you need to be cautious.

Cons: Non-retractable, a lot of the product get wasted.

Recommendation: I am not really impressed with this lip crayon from Oriflame mainly because a lot of product gets wasted. I won’t purchase this again!

Oriflame Milk and Honey Gold Smoothing Sugar Scrub Review

Hello lovely people, every skin needs a little pampering every now and then. I don’t believe in splurging much on skin care products unless they do some miracle to my skin. I always look out for options which goes easy on pocket and works wonder for my skin. Skin care starts with scrubbing, it is an essential  step in skin care regime and no one should skip it. Scrubbing helps to remove dirt and residues that cannot be removed by regular cleanser. I have used this Oriflame Milk and Honey smoothing sugar scrub for more than a year now and I can really feel the difference it has made to my skin in this period. Read on to know about this wonder scrub below:

Price: INR 449 for 200g

Ingredients:  As mentioned at the back of the tube.

What The Product Claims: It smooths away dead skin cells to reveal softer skin below with this rich, decadent body scrub. With organic milk proteins and honey extract to soften and condition the Skin. It’s an experience to cherish!  Milk & Honey Gold Body Scrub with Sugar crystals, organic milk and honey extracts helps to exfoliate and smooth skin.

How to Use: Apply on wet skin, gently rub in upward circular motion for 5 minutes. Rinse off with water and pat your face dry.

My Take on The Product: The product comes in a golden-yellow tube with a flip cap. The packaging is travel friendly.

The amount of the product is generous and will last more than 3-4 months easily. The product is in the form of golden-yellow gel granules which makes it easy to apply on skin and also comes off easily without leaving any sort of residue. The granules are not at all harsh to the skin and works gently to clean off dirt.

The scrub never dries out my skin and gives a brighter complexion instantly after its application. The brightness stays for 2-3 days. With regular usage, this scrub has made my skin smoother and helped to get rid of white heads and blackheads. It has a mild fragrance which I really like.

The fragrance fades after few hours of application. I did not face any break out issue with this scrub and I believe, this is one of the best scrub I have used till date!

3. Generous amount of product present

4. Does not feel harsh on skin

Cons: 1. Can be purchased through a Oriflame consultant only

2. Price is a bit on the higher side.

3. I wish the tube was transparent so that I could see how much product is still left in the tube.

Will I repurchase it?: Yes! I love this scrub and will recommend it to everyone looking for a mild scrub for regular use.

Oriflame Silk Beauty White Glow Body Lotion Review

Good morning beauties, how are you doing? I use moisturizer all through the year, as religiously as i use my face wash everyday. My hands and feet tends to get dry easily hence I need a good moisturizing product to keep my skin healthy. For my face I swear by Himalaya Herbals face moisturizing lotion because it is non greasy and well moisturizing. One of my friend is a Oriflame consultant and she suggested me to use this lotion from their “Silk Beauty” range.

I bought this on her recommendation  and have used this for a year now. Read my review on this amazing White glow body lotion from Oriflame.

What The Product Claims?: Infused with Silk Proteins, Cherry Blossom and the whitening effect of White Mulberry , this moisturizing lotion beautifies your skin tone and leaving skin smoother and more radiant.

My Take On The Product: This amazing body lotion comes in a white plastic bottle with a pink flip cap. The cap fits snugly and is absolutely travel friendly.

I always carry this in my bag, especially in winters. This lotion is white and creamy in texture and has a wonderful smell that lasts for sometime post application. The lotion is light weight and non greasy.

It absorbs on my skin immediately after application and keeps my skin soft and supple throughout the day. It did not cause me any breakouts and is perfectly working on my combination skin.

This body lotion makes my skin radiant with regular application.I have overcome skin dryness with regular usage of Oriflame Silk Beauty-white glow body lotion. I even use this in summer after showers. This lotion is my perfect skin food all round the year.

Pros: 1. Moisturizing

4. Pleasant smell

Cons: 1.Expensive

2. Can be purchased only from Oriflame consultants

Oriflame Pure Nature Moisturizing Gel Mask Review

Hello girlies! The summer heat is killing me, literally. These days I feel like going for a month-long trip to Switzerland or sitting at home with a mango smoothie and reading a romantic novel. Unfortunately, my exams are heading near and I have to go to my college regularly for important classes. As soon as I get back home from the scorching summer heat, I splash a lot of cold water on my face and try to use something soothing for my skin. I have been using Oriflame Pure Nature Moisturizing Gel Mask mostly in summer, for more than a year now. Let’s see if this gel mask impressed me or not:

Price: INR 299 for 50 ml

Best Use Before: 3 years from the date of manufacture

Ingredients: As mentioned at the back of the tube.

What the Product Claims: Moisturizing gel mask with carefully harvested 100% organic white tea extract. Rich in antioxidants to revitalize your skin.

Method of Use: Apply evenly on your face and neck. Keep on for ten minutes and wash off with cold water

My Take on the Product: The gel mask from Oriflame comes in a green sturdy tube with a white cap.

The packaging is travel friendly. The gel is transparent and a little amount is enough to apply evenly on face. The consistency is neither too thick, nor too runny. It forms an invisible layer on my face when applied. I keep on the mask for 10 minutes and then wash off with cold water.

I have noticed my skin feeling more moisturized with repeated usage though there have not been any effective result on imparting a glow to my face.

The mask has a pleasing fragrance and feels soothing when applied. Overall, this face mask can be tried out this summer to keep your dull skin hydrated.

3. Very little amount is required for application

Cons: 1. It do not even out complexion

2. Expensive as compared to its effectiveness

Oriflame Pure Color Mini Nail Polish in Hot Fuchsia Review & NOTD

Hello girls….. Have you ever noticed that how different colors can reflect your mood & your personality? So which color defines you the best? Daring Red, Bold Black, Perky Pink or Sexy Fuchsia?? Today I’ll review a beautiful Fuchsia Nail Polish & that is Oriflame Pure Color Mini Nail Polish In Hot Fuschia.

Price: INR 129 for 6ml (I got it for INR  99 as Oriflame was giving an introductory offer).

Method of application: Apply base coat & then apply two coats Oriflame Pure Color Nail Polish Mini over it. Finish with a top coat for added shine.

Products used: 1) Rimmel London Whitner Nail Brightening Complex as Base Coat
2) Oriflame Pure Color Mini Nail Polish In Hot Fuchsia as the main color on my nails
3) Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Crystal Clear as Top Coat.

In my next two posts I’ll be reviewing the Top Coat & the Base Coat used on my nails.

My take on the product: The product comes in a cute small transparent glass bottle with a plastic cap in black. They look clones of Maybelline Color Show Nail Polishes. Natually, these are to carry around when you are travelling. These nail polishes comes in a variety of colors.

The applicator is fine & helps in smooth application. Two coats is enough for the color to show up  on my nails. Staying power is 3-4 days. Btw let me tell you that I use water on my hands frequently.

It is a warm purplish red color.
The color is bright & beautiful.
It will look equally good when sported with with western or ethnic wear.

Pros: 1) Resonably priced
2) Many colors to choose from
3) Doesn’t chip off

Cons: 1) You need to get in touch with an Oriflame Consultant to get this.
2) Staying power is average.

Rating: 3.5/5

Will I repurchase it again: No, the Maybelline Colorama Nail Polishes are much better in lesser price range.
