Kenisha Green Forest Soap and Medicated Turmeric Soap Review

Hello darlings, it has been long since I have posted here. Since winter is approaching, I’m already in the hunt for some good body butter and moisturizers for my skin. These days it feels so dull and lifeless. I personally hate winter since childhood. I remember how pathetic it was to suffer from dry chapped lips during early winter and how I had to apply a thick layer of Boroline on my lips to get away with the dryness. It has been same every year and I know this year won’t be an exception :(.

Few weeks back, Kenisha sent me their handcrafted soaps to try. I have already tried and reviewed two of their soaps earlier and I was really happy how they worked for my. This time they sent me a “medicated turmeric soap” and a “green forest soap”. Kenisha handmade soaps are made with all eco-friendly ingredients at Kerala. Their soaps are enriched with the benefits of essential oils and other natural ingredients. From making to packaging, they do it all by themselves with lots of love and car!

Coming to the review, the medicated turmeric soap is priced INR 200 for 100g and the green forest soap costs INR 160 for 80g. According to me, since these soaps are free from harmful chemical and artificial coloring ingredients, the price that they charge for these is pretty much okay because you know you are using something that is natural  and good for your skin. Let us see the features of each soap in details below:

I loved using both the soaps, but my favorite would be the medicated turmeric soap since it has helped to get rid of sunburns in my arm very quickly. I only feel that if the soaps came in some interesting shapes and colors and  some natural fragrance could be added to these soap then they would have looked more pleasing.

Lilac Handmade Soaps: Shararat and Soap Mosaic Review

Hello everyone, summer is incomplete without some lovely bath products. This is the time of the year to get our hands on some lovely soaps and body washes and pamper ourselves. I told you few days back, how obsessed i am with handmade soaps right now and adding to my collection of handmade soaps is another set of handmade soaps from a brand name “Lilac” who makes wonderful handmade soaps. Their soaps are 100% vegan, not tested on animals and completely handmade. Let us look at two of their amazing soaps in this post:

What the brand claims: We at Lilac Soaps take immense pride in the quality of our products. We carefully choose highest quality ingredients. Our handmade soaps are better than the rest because we use natural vegetable oils & natural butters.The main oil used in our soap is Olive Oil rich in vitamins, minerals and fatty acids. We add Coconut oil to create fluffy lather & Cocoa and Shea butter for its superior moisturizing abilities and Castor oil for creamy lather formation. We use lye (Sodium Hydroxide) for saponification process to create soaps. However, finished products do not contain lye but the glycerin which is bi-product of the saponification process. Glycerin is a humectant which attracts moisture from the atmosphere and keeps skin hydrated.We scent and color our soaps with essential oils, fragrance oils, natural herbs, mica colorants and Cosmetic Grade FDA approved colors. Essential oils are made from tree, plant, flower, herbs which carry known therapeutic properties alongside their scent.

We quality control small batches of 10 bars at a time and most bars weigh over 130g but because they lose water which may result in reducing the weight in curing process. Slight color differences may occur.We cure our soap for 4-6 weeks before dispatching it to the customer.Luxurious lather of the soap cleanses the skin and also it does not remove its natural and protective oils.We do not use Palm Oil in our soaps to help one step in conserving our environment and prevent climatic changes.Our handmade soaps do not contain any synthetic preservatives or artificial hardeners therefore do not leave soap in standing water when not in use. Do keep soap in a well-draining soap dish. Store unused soap in dark, cool place and never seal it in plastic, it needs to breathe like human! Little care of your handmade soaps would stay longer in your soap case!

My take on the soaps: I was sent two soaps:  Shararat and Soap Mosaic, both of them are from limited edition so I am already considering myself lucky, to get my hands on them.

According to their website Shararat is filled with Shararat fragrance oil to add a little mischief in your life.Cocoa butter moisturizes the skin to give the ultimate glow. The soap is pale yellow in color and comes as a square bar. The shape is simple. I wish the soaps came in beautiful shapes. However, the soap is rich in cocoa butter and essential oils like olive oil and castor oil.

Since the soap is free from artificial preservatives, it is safe to use on all skin types. The soap lather well and cleanses thoroughly. It does not strips off oil from skin or make my skin dry. I did not find any distinguishing fragrance for this soap though the brand claims that the soap has mild smell.

Soap Mosaic is made up with merging two different soaps together. Splashing organe, white and yellow color with fresh, uplighting perppermint oil. Its treat head to toe and cleanses your skin beautifully.

So basically it is a two-in-one treat for your skin. I love the color of this soap, it is made up in mosaic pattern by alternating yellow and orange color. This soap has shea butter and peppermint oil to refresh your body.

Though the brand claims that the soap has a strong fragrance but all I could notice was a mild soapy smell. The soap forms a rich lather and cleanses without drying my skin.

Overall, these soaps are good treat to the skin and makes my skin soft and nourished.

I also got their  Sleep Inducer: The magical spray is said to relax the mind and helps induce sleep. Studies have shown that repeated use of this, improves the quality of sleep, De-stresses and calms your senses leaving you in a relaxed state!

Kenisha Handmade Soaps in Coffee Chocolate and Almond Rose Review

Hello girls, I can’t explain how much I have got addicted to different bath products like handmade soaps and bath salts lately. A couple of weeks back, I was sent two lovely handmade soaps from Kenisha  to try and I found them really good for my skin. Kenisha is a handmade soap brand from Cochin, Kerela, know more about them here. Besides they look such realistic and yummy, I bet you won’t like using them and prefer keeping them as showpieces! Here is a quick review on Kenisha handmade soap in Coffee Chocolate and Almond Rose.

Coffee Chocolate (80g):

Ingredients: Grounded coffee, Cocoa powder, coconut oil, Olive oil, Rice Bran oil, Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E

• The soap looks exactly like a chocolate- creme cupcake with chocolate chips sprinkled over it.
• The soap smells pleasant
• Keeps skin moisturized
• Not harsh on skin
• One bar goes a long way
• Natural and safe on all skin types
• Exfoliates skin mildly and fades away light tan.

Almond Rose (80g):

Ingredients: Coconut oil, castor oil, almond oil, Rose water, Rose essential oil

• Cupcake shaped and pale yellow in color
• The soap bar has a lovely rose-like shape on top
• Smells wonderful (better than Coffee Chocolate)
• Moisturized skin and keep it soft and supple
• One bar can go for almost two weeks
• Made up of all natural ingredients

In our tradition,s ugar is taken to be a sign of prosperity &happiness. A box of sweets always accompanies every splendid moment of our lives. Inspired by those moments, we extracted sweetness from its most natural and traditional source – Ikshu(Sugarcane), and put all its goodness in a bar.Not only does it stimulate your skin, but Ikshu also protects your skin from getting dehydrated.To complete this sweet amalgamation, we used Til (Sesame Oil) which acts as a natural sunscreen. We also included real Ikshu fibers in the soap, to act as a buffer that polishes your skin and feet.

 

Royal Jelly:

Every 10gm contains Emulsion of Madhu (Honey), Vegetable Glycerine, Oil blend of Eranda (Ricinus communis) & Vatada (Prunus amygdalus), Colour

 In our questto create a soap with that royal touch, we searched far & wide to find the most regal ingredients. We collected Madhu (Honey) from farms in Doddabellapur, and combined it with Vatada (Almond Oil) gathered from the hills of Kashmir. With the addition of Eranda (Castor Oil)and Glycerine, this soap becomes the answer to a number of skin woes. If that wasn’t enough, we also tossed in a small portion of a beehive to keep this exquisite bar ‘royal’ in every respect. Try it out for yourself, and fall in love with the person in the mirror.

 

Melalime:

 Every 10gm contains Dashangulam (Cucumis melo), Vegetable Glycerine, Oil blend of Jojoba & Narikela (Cocos nucifera), Jambira Nimbuka (Citrus limon), Colour

When choosing ingredients for this soap, we kept a single factor in mind – we wanted our creation to be refreshing! We picked Dashangulam (Musk Melon) for its hydrating and rejuvenating properties, and added a dash of Jambira Nimbuka (Lime) to brighten your skin. A blend of Narikela (Coconut Oil)and Jojoba oil ensures that a natural moisturizing element is included. Get a jump-start on your day with this invigorating bathing bar!
