  • Blueberry face pack:  Mash blueberries, mix it with 2 table spoons of honey, little milk apply it all over your face and neck. Leave on for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water. Use regularly for visible results .

Hello all, we all get stressed at one point of the time or the other due to heavy workload or taking too much tension. Stress is very harmful for mind and body and can affect both. Being stress free helps us to meet our goals faster and make our work much easier thus leading a less complicated life. A stress free lifestyle is  what we need to cope up with our surroundings and situations. To lead s stress free life, regular exercise is necessary.

Exercise is a great natural way to reduce stress and additionally it keeps our body and mind healthy and fit. Let us look at some exercises below that will reduce stress:

Aerobic exercises are high energy exercises that increase the heart rate which in turn leads your body to release endorphins that helps you feel good both physically and mentally. Aerobic exercises may include cycling, running, dancing etc. It is better to consult a doctor before starting high energy workouts. Pregnant women, people with heart problems and aged people should avoid aerobics.

Tai Chi, which evolved as an ancient Chinese technique of self-defense, later evolved as a form of exercise that include series of movement performed in a slow and focused manner accompanied with deep breathing. Tai Chi could be  practiced by people of all ages since it puts minimum stress on muscles. It is said to be a form of meditation in motion with the use of flowing movements.

Hello everyone, first, I would like to apologize for being a little irregular in my blog. I have exams coming up so I have to slow down a bit for a while. Rain has finally arrived in Kolkata and I can not express in words how much relieved I am feeling right now! The only way to tackle summer heat is to keep yourself hydrated as much as possible.

De-hydration is a common problem in summer and it can happen with any one of us. Today I’m going to list five fruits that will keep you cool in summer. Fruits are light, healthy and full of nutrients. Let’s have a look at them below:

1. Water Melons

Water melons are mainly constituted of water. A water melon contains about 92-93% of water. Water melons are alkaline fruits rich in Vitamin A and C and is said to act as diuretic too. Water melon is an excellent thirst quencher. They are also rich in antioxidants. A fruit salad in summer is incomplete without delicious  cubes of water melons in it.

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well. I’m not a vegetarian but I can never deny the fact how vegetables are useful for our health. One such important vegetable is bottle gourd also known as “lauki”, “ghiya” or “doodhi” in India. Bottle gourd has numerous health benefits and should be consumed often. It is considered as a natural thirst quencher. Here are few necessary things you need to know about this vegetable.

Bottle gourd traces its origin from South Asia. It is a greenish, long, slender squash. It consitutes of 90% water and hence is easy to digest. It is also rich in magnesium, phosphorus, riboflavin, Vitamin A and C.

Cut a bottle gourd into pieces, put it in a blender along with a pinch of salt and cumin seeds. Add little water to this and blend it for 5 minutes. Lauki juice is ready to drink. Have it early morning in empty stomach everyday.
