Hello everyone, this is the first post of the year and I decided to start it with a super good and essential skincare product from Biotique. I have heard a lot about this brand and thought of giving it a try so I bought two skincare products out of which I am going to review the Bio Papaya Tan- Removal scrub today. I suffer a lot from whiteheads so I am always in search of good scrub for my skin that is not too harsh or drying as my skin tends to get very dry in winters. Let’s see whether this scrub from Biotique lives up to its claim:
Price: INR 199 for 75 gms
Best Before: 3 years from the date of manufacture
Ingredients: This exfoliating scrub is blended with pure papaya fruit to dissolve dead surface cells, unclog pore openings and smooth the way for clear skin to surface. Gentle refining action uncovers skin’s natural brightness for a younger-looking complexion.
What the Product Claims: Papita (Carica papaya), Kela (Musasapientum), Khajoor (Phoenixdactylifera), Neem (Meliaazadiradrachita), Methi (Trgoneliafoenum graecum), Yasad bhasm(Zincum), Ban heldi (Curcuma aromatica), Aam beej (Magnifelaindica), Bees wax, Gun acacia (Acacia arabica), Moongphali (Archis hypogea),Himalayan water Q.S
Method of use: Apply all over face and neck, massage for five minutes and wash off with normal water.
My Take on the Product: The product comes in sturdy white tub with a green screw cap.As you open the cap you will find a protective inner lid. This ensures that the product does not leak out.
The scrub is neither to runny nor too dry. It has thick consistency and creamy texture with fine beads for exfoliation. The color is same as that of fuller’s earth (multani mitti). The scrub is ideal for all skin types as it doesn’t make my skin too oily or too dry. It has a mild fragrance with do not bothers me much.
I use the scrub thrice a week as it is very mild. The use gets clumsy at times because of the tub packaging otherwise it is great for regular use.
My skin has become clearer and softer with regular use. It removes mild dark spots and discolorations too. Since I have used it for a month now and I do not suffer from tan in winter, I have to wait till summer to see how effectively it works on skin tan.
Pros: 1. Mild on skin
2. Suitable for all skin types
3. Removes dark spots and discoloration
4. Brightens skintone
5. Made up of botanical extract so safe to use on sensitive skin too
Cons: 1. Slightly overpriced
2. Packaging could have been better
Will I Repurchase It: Yes, I am already in love with this scrub after a month’s usage and I hope this will be my HG scrub throughout the year!
