Puro Body & Soul Intense Repairing Hair Masque for Dry and Damaged Hair Review

Hello peeps, how are you all doing? Shiny, thick and lustrous hair is every woman’s dream but how many of us are lucky to have such hair? For those who suffer from severe hair dryness, here is a hair masque from Puro that will help you to keep your hair nourished and reduce dryness with repeated use.

Price: INR 600 for 200ml

Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Avena Sativa, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lavender Oil, Rosemary Oil, Pro Vitamin- B5

What the product claims: Nourishing masque that protects and boosts radiance for dry, highlighted or color treated hair.

Method of use: Apply from root to end. Leave on for half an hour. Rinse thoroughly with warm water or shampoo for desired effect.

My take on the product: The product comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a white pump dispenser. The packing is travel friendly and besides, I have a weakness for products that comes with pump dispensers as they are easy to use and ensured the product do not get wasted or spill out accidentally.

The Puro hair masque for dry and damaged hair is an amazing product and works great on my dry and damaged hair. I usually do not experiment much with hair products so I was a little skeptical to try this hair masque at first but when I finally gave a try, I was amazed with the result. My hair felt soft and nourished after first wash. The hair masque has a thick-creamy texture and smells like coconut.

Initially, I used this masque twice a week and after two weeks I limited it to once a week. I wash my hair with water, comb thoroughly to get rid of any tangles, apply the masque from root to tips and leave on for 20-30 minutes. Since my scalp tends to get oily, I shampoo my hair every time I use the masque.

I have used this masque for more than a month now and I am really happy with the result. My hair has become smoother and nourished with repeated use, also, I haven’t noticed hair fall or other side effects from the product. Overall this is a decent masque for dry hair and does what it claims to.

Pros: 1. Moisturizes and nourishes dry and damaged hair

2. Packaging is travel friendly

3. Makes hair soft and manageable

Cons: Pricey

Rating: 4.5/5

Recommendation: I will recommend this hair masque to all those who are suffering from hair dryness. Check out their website for some amazing hair care and skin care products.

Let’s Be Wise and Sanitize!

India has been a victim of poor sanitation for ages. In a developing country like India, people are constantly shifting from small villages to towns and cities in search of better job opportunities and in a hope to lead a better life. As a result the cities and towns are getting more and more congested. Adding to it, scarcity of drinking water and poor sanitation go hand in hand. The scenario in rural areas of our country is not very different.

Proper hygiene and sanitation is the key to good health. In our day-to-day life too, hygiene and sanitation plays a major role in our well-being. In a family, all the members are equally responsible to take care of each other and the home they live in. In a report by The Hindu, more than 80% of the villages in India do not have access to basic sewage system for disposal of waste. More than 600 million people in India do not have access to toilets in their home or locality. A large number of people in rural areas defecate in the open. Another survey conducted in major cities of India found that more than 50% of these cities do not have access to proper water supply in their houses. The situation is getting worse with the rise in population each year

Sanitation means following hygienic means to prevent hazards that can affect our health. To maintain hygiene at home, we must have access to basic sanitation. Basic sanitation means proper ways to dispose and manage human waste and excreta through proper drainage system. As an individual we must make sure that our house and every other house in our locality has a toilet and every person using it is taking care of basic hygiene like washing hands with soap, using clean water in toilet, keeping the toilet clean by spraying disinfectants etc. We must also make sure that the water we drink is not contaminated and free of germs. In a developing country like India, more than half of the population do not get access to water and a large part of those who have access to water, do not get clean water. Thus, people cannot put such water to better uses other than washing and cleaning purposes. Using water filters or purifiers is the only option to purify contaminated water. In rural areas where people cannot afford water filters, rely on boiling water. Unfortunately more than 3/4th of rural population are unaware of the benefits of drinking boiled water or don’t have access to gas or stoves to do so.

In families where there are small children, proper sanitation and maintaining good hygiene is must for their growth and development. We must also make sure that our children get access to clean drinking water not only in their home but also in the school they go to. We must also see that every school in the locality have toilets and water filters. Without these hygienic practices, anybody may fall sick. More than 1000 children dies each year due to water-borne and sanitation related diseases like diarrhoea. In rural areas there have been cases of stunted child growth due to poor sanitation and shortage of clean drinking water. People in rural areas must be made aware about the need of proper hygiene and sanitation. Defecating in the open is not only harmful for the person practicing it but is also harmful for the locality where it takes place. Usually people living in slums defecate near railway tracks and live nearby those areas as well. Rural people should be encouraged to build toilets in their home, consume clean water and practice basic hygiene in their day-to-day life.

On the national level too, proper sanitation will bring good health and generate economic growth for the country as there will be reduction in cost catering to health issues. A part of the money could be used to build toilets across the country and waste water treatment tanks in rural and urban areas to prevent sewage overflow. NDTV has come up with this wonderful initiative to make India a cleaner and better place to live in. Know more about it at http://swachhindia.ndtv.com/ and support for the cause. Let’s make India a better place to live in, for us and for our future generations too!

Growing Up Strong and Healthy

Childhood….undoubtedly the best time of one’s life because we can never be as carefree and innocent like this time. A healthy child is the key to a healthy family. Children can mend and renew even the most complicated relationships. Their presence can light up any situation and keep tension away. Since children can do such wonders to us with their presence, it is our responsibility to keep our children healthy and fit and give them proper care.

Child health has been an issue on national concern especially children in lower income countries. Mott of the children in these countries are malnourished and do not have access to basic needs. While in developed countries children suffer from obesity due to excessive consumption of junk food like pizzas, french fries, burgers and soft drinks. These foods are easily available and appears to be very appealing in taste to them . Added to it is the modern sedentary lifestyle that make it all worse. Children these days prefer to spent their time either watching television or playing games on a computer. These technologies have reduced the rate of physical activity which is required to stay fit. Studies proved that the kids who ate fast food were more likely to consume a higher amount of calories, fat, carbohydrates and added sugars in one fast food meal. They were also less likely to consume as much fiber, milk and fruits and vegetables as children who did not eat fast food. This leads to serious health issues at a very early age.Health experts blame junk food for rising rates of diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke. Children who consume more junk food are likely to fall ill much earlier than those who do not.

Thus to keep our children healthy we must keep a thorough watch on their diet and other activities too. Children should be encouraged for regular yoga and exercises at an early age. Parents should encourage children to take part in sports. Ready to eat foods and junk food must be avoided as much as possible, homemade foods are nutritious and extremely important for children in their growing years. Proper nutrition will give them proper immunity to fight back diseases. Green leafy vegetables, dairy products much be a part of their regular diet. As a parent, you can take small initiatives that can make sure to provide a good health for your children like taking stairs instead of elevator, walking instead of hiring an auto rickshaw and most importantly teaching them what is good and what is not.

Dabur Chyawanprash is one such miracle product that could be  included in your child’s daily diet. It is an age-old formulation and has very healthy herbs like amla, giloy and more than 40 other natural ingredients that helps to keep your child immune and strong.
