5 Easy Homemade Facial Cleansers For All Skin Types

Arrghhhh……….. This gloomy weather :(. I want some sunshine now. This is why I hate monsoon! I’m sick and I haven’t been anywhere other than my college for over a week now. I need to buy my face wash and I’m not allowed to go out because I’m sick. So what? Should I wait to get well and then buy? Ummm… not sure, order online? Just for a face wash…..not really…. This is when the beauty blogger in me tries being smart and manages to carry on the skin care routine when there is a shortage of  skin care products. Facial cleansers are very important to maintain a clear and dirt free skin and should be used regularly.

In this post I have listed few easy homemade facial cleansers that could be prepared easily at home with products available in your kitchen. These cleansers are equally effective and safe to use. Have a look at them below:

 1. Gram Flour and Turmeric Cleanser

Mix 2 tablespoons of gram flour with 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder. Add rose-water to it to make a smooth paste without lumps. Apply this mixture to your face and neck and massage gently for 5 minutes. Wash off with water. You will get a clean and oil free skin within no time. Turmeric brightens complexion and gram flour is itself a very good natural cleanser.

2. Milk Cleanser

Take a small bowl of raw milk and simply dip cotton balls in it and apply it on your face. It removes dirt and makeup effectively from your skin without making your skin dry. Milk also helps in keeping skin soft and moisturized.

3. Grated Cucumber and Curd Cleanser

Grate a fresh cucumber and mix 2 tablespoons of curd to it. apply this mixture on your face and neck for a brighter complexion along with a clearer skin. Curd is very effective in tan removal and cucumber is an excellent toner.

4. Egg Yolk and Honey Cleanser

Add egg yolk to 2 tablespoons of honey and apply it to your face. Let it dry and wash off with water. You will get a clear skin with repeated use. Honey adds glow to the face and egg yolk keeps skin firm and prevent wrinkles.

5. Rosewater Cleanser

Dab cotton in rosewater and apply it on your face to remove dirt and makeup. Read more uses of rosewater here.
